<abstract>A noise contour is a line on a map that represents equal levels of noise exposure and this polygon data represents noise contours from 70 dB-50 dB CNEL. The number of annual flights, aircraft types and flight tracks are critical inputs to the contour model.As part of the Watsonville Municipal Airport Master Plan 2001-2020, Brown-Buntin Associates, Inc. (BBA) performed an analysis of aircraft/airport operations and related noise levels for the Watsonville Municipal Airport (KWVI) to prepare Day-Night Level (CNEL) noise exposure maps for existing (2000) and projected future (Years 2010 and 2020) airport traffic volumes with the existing and proposed future runway configurations. The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Integrated Noise Model (INM) Version 6.0c was used to prepare CNEL noise exposure maps for the Watsonville Municipal Airport (KWVI), based upon the FAA aircraft noise level data base and airport operational factors. The INM was developed for the FAA, and represents the federally sanctioned and preferred method for analyzing aircraft/airport noise exposure. Version 6.0c was the current version of the INM, incorporating an updated database of aircraft performance parameters and noise levels. Projected data for aircraft activity, aircraft fleet mix and airport configuration used in the noise modeling process were obtained from Shutt Moen Associates and Coastplans.com. Flight track and runway use assumptions were derived from data provided by Shutt Moen Associates and Watsonville Community Airport (KWVI).Watsonville Municipal Airport (KWVI) Master Plan was approved 6/24/2003 [Resolution 179-03 (CM)] and revised in 2005 [Resolution 74-05 (CM)].</abstract>
